Rain seems to love music more than acting. She learn opera and italian language in University of Florida. But she takes part mainly in rock-bands - such as Aleka's Attic (with brother River) and The Causey Way. Now she is a lead vocalist in Papercranes. Her husband is Papercrane's guitarist Michael Tubbs. They married in march 2003 and live in New York. Rain has a son, Jonas Winter (born on 02/07/1993)

She is a good friend of Michael Stipe from R.E.M. so they worked together many times, and also she worked with Red Hot Chilli Peppers as back-vocalist in 1995/96.
